BITZER 2DES-3Y-40S – Semi-Hermetic Reciprocating Compressor ECOLINE

BITZER 2DES-3Y-40S is a semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor from the ECOLINE series, which is based on BITZER’s proven semi-hermetic compressor design. This series is intended for refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump applications where reliability, efficient operation and long service life are required.

The 2DES-3Y-40S model is a two-cylinder compressor with a displacement of 13.4 m³/h at 50 Hz. It is suitable for commercial refrigeration, refrigeration units, condensing units, cold stores and other systems where stable performance is needed in professional operation. Thanks to its semi-hermetic design, the compressor allows service access and is suitable for applications with higher requirements for operational reliability.

The compressor is designed for three-phase power supply 400 V / 3 / 50 Hz. The stated maximum operating current is 8.6 A, locked rotor current is 37 A, and maximum power input is 4.6 kW. Pipe connections include a suction connection of 22 mm / 7/8" and a discharge connection of 16 mm / 5/8".

According to available data, the compressor can be used with several refrigerants, such as R134a, R450A, R513A, R1234yf, R404A, R507A, R448A/R449A, R454C and R455A.
